 The Great Lent has begun and if you’re christian chances are you know what this is. Long story short, The Great Lent or The Great Fast officially begins on Clean Monday, seven weeks before Pascha ( Easter ) and runs for 40 contiguous days. It has its religion-related purposes, but personally I do it to feel better with myself, to eat healthier (most of the time), to eat mostly vegan meals (if you’re interested in knowing the benefits of eating vegan you can look it up by yourself, because I don’t want to force & influence anyone) and to expend my taste palette by trying new recipes.  The foods abstained from are meat, fish, eggs and dairy products, wine, and oil. Vegan Chocolate Cake

As you already know I'm still eating mostly vegan, because The Great Lent hasn't ended for me yet, but you should also know that I'm a chocolate lover and I have a sweet tooth almost 23 hours/ day. That's why I came out with a decadent chocolate cake recipe the everyone should try, even if you're not vegan. I'm super serious about that ;) . Ingredients: • 200 g flour • 200 g sugar • juice and zest of 1 orange (about 120 ml) • 2 tablespoons of tahini • 1/2 cup sunflower seed oil • 1 tsp of vanilla • 1 teaspoon of baking soda • 125 g dark chocolate finely chopped (or dark chocolate chips ) • 5-6 tablespoons of cocoa  For the syrup • 3/4 cup of water • 3/4 cup of sugar   For the ganache • 250 g dark chocolate • 150 g water • 1 tablespoon of cognac Preparation: In a bowl add & mix   the flour, cocoa, sugar and the baking soda.   In an other bowl beat the oil with the tahini using the mixer. Chocolate covered tiramisu LOVE BITES

I was laying on my bed last night and all of a sudden I remembered that this week is the “ Valentine’s Day ️  ” so I had to do some kind of Valentine Treat. It was a bit difficult to think the perfect recipes right away, but an ingredient was definitely going to be CHOCOLATE. As a chocolate lover (in my head) love is equal to chocolate or the other way around.  So I came up with two ideas, but for now one of them will remain a secret. Today I prepared my CHOCOLATE COVERED TIRAMISU LOVE BITES.
