Spinach Falafels

Image
Falafels are something I never tried before, if we're talking traditional Middle Eastern (local) ones. So this recipe is totally based on personal tries and errors and personal taste. Therefore every single opinion will be helpful from everyone, especially my Middle Eastern readers out there.  I made these a bit healthier + with the addition of spinach. Let's get into the recipe... Ingredients: 1 big can of chickpeas (480 gr drained) 1 1/2 cup fresh parsley  1 cup fresh baby spinach  1/3 cup of flour  1 tbsp turmeric  1 tsp cumin  1 tbsp baking powder  1 red onion  6 garlic cloves 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice  4 tbsp olive oil  salt & black pepper (extra flour or oil for frying or baking) Preparation: Your best friend is your blender right now. Put the spinach, parsley, garlic and onion first into the blender and blend them well. Next add the chickpeas little by little (easier to blend this way) and the o...

Upside-Down Chocolate-Pear Cake

Image
About two weeks ago was the International Women’s Day and I made a cake especially for that day, so everyone could make it and also enjoy a cup of tea with their loved ones. Some could decide to surprise their mothers, sisters with this delicious cake, so I really thought about it and I wanted to make something special, not the normal cake you can have every normal day. The first thought that came into my mind was CHOCOLATE. If you know me just a little or if you follow me on social media, you know I am pretty close to becoming a chocolate-addict (if not already). Chocolate plus pears = a nice combo. But what about something that will make it stand out of the crowd of cakes?! Caramelized brown sugar!! That would be awesome addition, but how … Oh, I’ll make it upside down!! And there was my puzzle completed. Ki...

There is so much that goes behind the scenes, especially when the blogger wants to give you the best of the best.. Being a food blogger myself, I know the struggle that goes on putting out food recipes. Being an amateur „cook“, an amateur „photographer“ and an amateur „food stylist“ at the same time and trying to perfect myself while perfecting recipes & trying new things can be very tiring. But the most important part of it is the happiness and stress relief I get in the end. The love from you guys, readers, followers.  And if you haven’t noticed yet, I‘m not a good writer at all. I’m not the blogger you want to read it’s posts for hours, because my real passion is creating, cooking, experimenting.. and this is just how I can document it + show it to the world in order to incour...
