Homemade Granola

Have you ever skipped breakfast because of the lack of time in the morning? Have you ever searched for excuses for not eating healthy?
Well now you can prevent these two problems by making some homemade granola on the weekend, that will last you for a whole week and will motivate you to eat healthier. Now, a question may come on your mind. „Why can’t I buy some pre-made store-bought granola ?”
Firstly you know exactly what you’re putting in the recipe + you can adjust it to your likings. Less sugar, less oil, your favorite nuts and seeds, your favorite flavor: cinnamon, orange zest, dried fruit, etc. So it’s definitely healthier.
Secondly you can make as much as you want and it’s fresher than the ones on the store. You know when you have prepared it and the ingredients have much more flavor.
Lastly it is so inexpensive and easy to make + it doesn’t take much time to prepare. So this makes it student/ busy person friendly.
Now that I have fully explained to you why homemade granola is so amazing, I can get to the actual recipe.

Ingredients:
- 3 cups of oats
- 1/5 cups of shredded coconut
- 1 cup of brown sugar
- 1/2 cup of sunflower seeds
- 1/2 cup of pumpkin seeds
- 1 handful of almonds and hazelnuts
- 1/4 cup of sunflower oil
- 2 tbsp of chia seeds
- a handful of raisins
- a pinch of salt
Preparation:
Preheat the oven to 180 C.
Chop up the nuts and seeds.
Mix everything together in a bowl (besides the chia seeds and the raisins).
Spread the mixture evenly to a baking tray.
Put it in the oven for 15 minutes and then stir it around a bit, so every little piece gets baked. Put it back in the oven for another 10-15 minutes until golden browned.
After it’s done let it cool down, add the chia seeds and the raisins and put it into a container.
That’s it!! You’re done!! Now you can enjoy it every morning :)
I adjusted everything to my preference, so that's why it doesn’t have too much sugar or oil and it isn’t chunky at all (still crunchy though). You can see my "homemade granola" recipe video here.
I hope you enjoy it!!
Lots of love  -Steff 💜
