Chocolate covered tiramisu LOVE BITES
I was laying on my bed last night and all of a sudden I remembered that this week is the “ Valentine’s Day️ ” so I had to do some kind of Valentine Treat. It was a bit difficult to think the perfect recipes right away, but an ingredient was definitely going to be CHOCOLATE. As a chocolate lover (in my head) love is equal to chocolate or the other way around.
So I came up with two ideas, but for now one of them will remain a secret. Today I prepared my CHOCOLATE COVERED TIRAMISU LOVE BITES. These are the perfect treat and a perfect gift (if you haven’t figured it out till now ), yet so easy to prepare.
Ingredients:
1.5 cups mascarpone cheese
3 cups of roughly crumbled biscuits
3 tbsp of amaro liqueur
2 tbsp of almond milk
2 tbsp of cocoa powder
3-4 tbsp of powdered sugar (taste to adjust it to your likings)
1/2 tsp of vanilla extract
For the chocolate cover:
200 gr of chocolate
2 tbsp of vegetal oil
Preparation:
- Get a bowl and mix the mascarpone with the powdered sugar & vanilla.
- Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well.
- Form little balls with this mix (it can get a bit messy, because of the soft consistency, but don’t worry) and use a tray to lay them & put it in the freezer for 10 minutes.
- In the meantime crumble some more biscuits, crush some hazelnuts (optional) and mix these with some shredded coconut. ( I didn’t put these to the ingredient list, because you don’t need too much to cover the tiramisu balls. This will just help us during the chocolate dipping process. )
- Get the tiramisu balls out of the freezer and roll them into the mix we just made. Put them again in the freezer for 1 hour or until they have gotten really hard.
- Melt the chocolate with the oil. You can use the microwave or bain-marie (double boiler), just be careful if you melt it in the microwave, because it tends to burn easily, so do it in 15 sec periods & mix it every time until it melts.
- Take the tiramisu balls out of the freezer, cover them in chocolate and let them set on the tray. During this process you can decorate them with hazelnut halves.
If you want to consume them throughout the week, make sure you keep them in the freezer ( as they hold their consistency better ) and take them out 5 minutes before consuming them.
HAPPY VALENTINE’s DAY
️ !!
ENJOY !!
